Maryland, September 16, 2016: Hughes Systique Corporation today announced that it has been shortlisted as one of the finalists in the prestigious GLOTEL Awards 2016 for the category ìAdvancing the Road to 5Gî.
HSCís winning entry discusses how the 5th generation of networks is going to be built around the seamless integration of multiple different types of radio technologies; LTE, LTE-U, WLAN and others. Based on its experience of working on the different aspects of HetNets over the last 5 years, HSCís offering for advancing the road to 5G, is the enhanced HetNets Optimization Platform (eHOP). HSC has successfully used the eHOP solution for targeting an operator centric view of the network and enabling integrated service visibility across a gamut of networks.
Rising to the occasion Vinod Sood, Managing Director- India, Hughes Systique said that, ‘Research and Development on cutting edge technologies is an integral part of the HSC DNA. Our Wireless Centre of Excellence was able to foresee the significance of heterogeneous networks in leading the way for 5G. GLOTEL Awards 2016 shortlisting our innovative eHOP solution is a testimony that HSC is at the vanguard of the 5G evolution.’ HSC firmly believes that Heterogeneous Networks management for 4th and 5th generation wireless networks will require a different approach to service provisioning and discovery. The enhanced HetNet Optimization Platform (e-HOP) has been conceptualized by HSC as a common platform which allows operators to view and manage different network nodes as an integrated whole. Instead of organizing networks in the traditional way i.e. as cells and coverage area, it organizes them dynamically in terms of user specific requirements, such as surplus capacity, services offered and security level.
HSCís eHOP solution finds a place among other innovative solutions from the stalwarts of the Telecom Industry specifically designed for fueling the 5G phenomena. The eHOP is HSCís product offering, targeting an operator centric view of the network and enabling integrated service visibility across a gamut of networks. The Global Telecoms Awards, will be handed out at a special awards ceremony on 3 November, 2016 in London.
