Abstract: In this case study, HSC architected a completely embeddable voip call call control for the Android system, deeply integrated into Android's own Telephony architecture. This approach is significantly more powerful than implementing a voip stack in user space due to several reasons, including features, performance etc. This required HSC to completely dissect and understand most of the Android source code at the low level, NDK and middleware, none of which is documented today. The project also involved implementing seamless fixed mobile convergence, switching calls from circuit switched to wifi as required. |
