Design and Development of application stack over ARM based vehicle Telematics Control Unit (TCU) for supporting various PASS-6 subscriber, management and diagnostics services

Abstract: HSC Designed and Developed the complete of Configuration and Provisioning Unit for next generation TCU Architecture (Gen 2). Since HSC has already worked on the Gen 1 architecture it was also instrumental in effectively porting of software module catering to PASS-6 and management services from TCU Gen 1 to TCU Gen 2. Additionally, we were also involved in bug fixing and feature enhancement of PASS-6 subscriber, management and diagnostics services for existing TCU Gen1 implementation. The feature set for Gen1 and Gen 2 included PASS-6 Subscriber Services, Diagnostics, over the registration, over the air downloading software activation and roll back.

  • Effective usage of existing Telematics expertise at HSC on TCU Gen1 for developing TCU Gen 2 with optimized cost and reduced development time.
  • The problems that occurred on the target environment were recreated on the host environment by means of writing additional simulation software to enable remote fixing without or minimal need of the hardware.
  • Enabled the customer to provide safety and security services in Chrysler and Mercedes Car Group beginning with model year 2010.
