Migration of an existing real time sub-system which manages traffic resources in a GS ( Frequency ,timeslot and power ) from Solaris 2.6 OS/ Sun Sparc E5500 processor to Redhat Enterprise Linux Advanced Server 4.0 /x86 PC based solution

Abstract: Migration of the complete system required replacement infrastructure components, migration of Solaris threads to POSIX threads, Identification of all Solaris system calls invoked and replacement with the Linux calls, replacements of Solaris Symon daemon triggers used, to Linux methodology (Symon and Symux),Migration of Standard daemons (xntpd),porting of device driver(ADAX, RS422), replacement Roguewave classes by Linux native implementations based on Standard Template Library (STL) and Endianness changes. Customer Benefits: The Roguewave classes did not have direct counterparts in the STL, new implementation, based on open libraries was made and published to the community A new distributed tracing facility was introduced to enable the customer to do powerful field debugging. The complete development Environment was migrated from Solaris to Linux which facilitated the customer for any further developments on that application.

Design and Implementation of Battery driven RFID Tag HW complaint with ISO 18000-7 Air Interface Specifications (433 MHz)

Abstract: HSC developed the HW drivers and Protocol Layer as per specification. A deep understanding of MSP430F149 Microcontroller CC1020 RF Chip from Texas Instruments was developed as these platforms were configures and used to implement the tag. The scope of work also included implementation of Data RX and TX as per RF Protocol (PHY) using HW timers and drivers for UART, EEPROM, temperature Sensor.

Design and Development of Bootloader and BSP packages for a controller card of a WiMAX Base Station based on OBSAI specification.

Abstract: The existing Board Support Package ported on the MPC8548E PQ III based Controller Card and Windriver Linux (Linux kernel version: 2.6.14.7) OS. The bootloader UBoot 1.3.0 was porting on BCM Board which required configuring controller DDR2, BC, DUART, I2C, eTSEC, Serial RapidIO as per BCM board, configuring MT47H256M4 DDR2 from micron, 88e6185 gigabit Ethernet switch from Marvel, S29GL512P Flash from Spansion.

Design and Implementation of multi gigabit ASN GW Fast Path

Abstract: The ASN GW Fast Path solution was a performance oriented architecture in a multi-card configuration hosting an AMCC network processor. The salient implementation aspects include initialization of 24 tasks as active and background tasks, usage of AMCC instruction set is used to program the multi-threaded NP core, i/f with multiple co-processors present in NP , microcode interfaces with on-chip TCAM and NSC over LA-1 interface for deep packet inspection, microcode interfaces for Linux based Host (Control plane). Customer Benefits: The solution has differentiating features as compared to other commercially available features.
