Enhancing IPv4 VSAT to a Dual Mode VSAT (IPv4/IPv6) Abstract: Typically a VSAT has two major interfaces, the LAN side on which it has subtended user networks and the RF Network side. Implementation includes IPv6 Neighbor Discovery and translation algorithms for IPv6-IPv4-IPv6 traffic terminating on the VSAT. This enabled an IPv6 host to access application on VSAT supporting only IPv4.
