Arjun Roychowdhury is responsible for driving the IMS consulting practice
within HSC, providing consulting services to ISVs, Operators & OEMs for
conceptualization, realization and deployment issues related to IMS and
applications leveraging the IMS architecture. In addition, he is also
responsible for the HSC Converged Applications practice for terminals and
network components which gives him a unique hands-on insight into both the
infrastructure level as well as what is takes to create applications on top of
these emerging networks.
Arjun has been involved with SIP standardization since its inception and is
intimately familiar with its evolution as well as deployment and customization
across a variety of networks. He has consulted with over 200+ customers in
areas ranging from IMS Network validation, gap analysis of existing IMS
products to conceptualization and deployment of new applications for handsets
and servers.
He is the industry representative for HSC at IETF and is an active participant
at various Standardization Bodies and has been invited to speak at several
tradeshows including VoN, Internet Telephony and more. Previously, he was the
chair of the SIP WG at the IPCC (formerly the International Softswitch
Consortium) and continues to be a full member of the SIPForum.
In the past, Arjun was responsible for VoIP product architecture and technology
strategy for a large infrastructure vendor in VoIP where he was responsible for
architecting the product line, overseeing customer deployment, and transforming
it into one of the most successful SIP infrastructure products in the industry
